March 9, 2024 marked a memorable day for Cenat and his brother Fanum as they landed in Lagos to a warm Nigerian welcome. Shank, accompanied by a merry troupe of singers and drummers, greeted them at the airport, capturing hearts with infectious tunes as Cenat grooved along. Playfully, Shank bestowed upon him the nickname “Femi Omo Werey,” adding to the fun of their lively introduction to the city.

Eager to dive into Nigerian culture, Cenat’s first stop was a local buka spot, where he savored the flavors of Yoruba cuisine, including amala, gbegiri, and ewedu—earning his approval with every delicious bite!

But Cenat’s visit wasn’t just about exploration; it was about giving back. With a heart set on making a difference, he headed to Makoko, a disadvantaged slum, where he wasted no time in lending a helping hand. Visiting the Children’s Development Foundation School and orphanage, Cenat brought joy to the children’s faces, leaving a lasting impact with a generous donation of $3000 towards the school’s renovation and development.

Amidst his charitable endeavors, Cenat found time for musical magic, linking up with none other than Grammy-nominated artist Davido. Their meeting was filled with warmth and laughter, with Davido hailing Cenat as a legend. Over dinner, Davido shared exciting news of his upcoming album, fueling anticipation with promises of 15 tracks and six stellar collaborations. As their time together drew to a close, Davido extended an invitation for Cenat to return to Lagos in December, promising even more unforgettable moments in the vibrant city that never sleeps.
